We worked so hard for weeks getting the house ready to sell. Put it on the market one day, showed it once and it was sold. I know it sounds like I have spent the day in the kitchen preparing a great meal to be eaten in a few minutes. Wow, that made us happy yet I felt like I turned my back on a good friend. I guess now everything is kicking in, we are really moving home.I hope things start to slow down some.
Sorry but we are leaving for Nova Scotia in the morning to buy a house. Will be back next Saturday.

Just for Me & You

April 2, 2009
Written by: Rose Marie Rideout

Tell me why I feel so lost & lonely,
Why all of a sudden things are blue,
For things are really working out,
The plans just for me and you.

We’ve prepared for this moment,
Thinking each moment through,
For what we want most in life,
The plans made just for me and you.

The sun will shine each morning,
With the morning we’ll face the dew,
The moon will light up the heavens,
Filled with plans just for me and you.

Smiles will fill our faces,
Tears will shed, but only a few,
For happiness will spread about,
To brighten plans just for me and you.

Understanding will be our guidance,

Loved by the chosen few,
For our lives are meant to be,
Filled with love just for me and you.

Circled with new surroundings,
New faces among the old and new,
Our new life is about to start,
The one chosen just for me and you.

Change is hard, Rose, and so is letting go...even when you look forward happily to where you are going and what you are changing. Your feelings came across poignantly in your poem. Good work. Be well, Kathy

A sad and happy situation, saying goodbye to your old house and hello to a new one. Strange though it may be, leaving a house one called "home" for a long time does make one sad, like saying goodbye to an old friend. Just think it will also have new homeowners that will take care of it. Wonderful poem Rose!

The tears of goodbye will I am sure be replaced with the smiles of open arms of your family and friends here in Nova Scotia with me being one of those lucky few. I look forward to introducing you to more of the wonderful places, sights and sounds of your new home when you get here and lots of campfire singsongs.

Oh Rose... I know it's sad leaving what has been "home" for so long, leaving friends and all that is safe and familiar...but... imagine...you will have such a wonderful time finding a new "home" and you'll be so happy fixing it how you want, and meeting new friends and family will want to visit...plus...it's like a whole new beginning... I am so happy for you!!!!!! Please take it slowly tho....and ENJOY!! HUGS... lindalaw

Rose,

Leaving a place you love is difficult. You've captured this so well, remember moving in my childhood, it almost made me cry. Good luck.

Best of Luck on Your New Move, and Your New Life, Rose.

Moving can be a very sad event, but you can turn it around, You must say good bye and thank your old house. It sheltered you from the elements and also held your life for that time. As you leave your doorstep turn and say thank you for such a wonderful life in it's embrace and say good bye.. It makes it all final and complete.

Look at this as a new adventure to share with the one you love. You are blessed Rose and embrace that.
Awesome poem depicting what is feels like to move from your home.
Much luck and success finding a new home.
Peace, love, and light,

Moving is always somewhat sad,
But a great new adventure too;
Find happiness in your new home,
In everything that you two do.

Going to a new house is like to leave the security of fast land and relocate to an strange unknown island, at first one will look at it with hostile eyes because everything isn't like in the old house, when the sun will be over that and that entering from this and that window.
The first days will be one of disorientation, nothing seems normal, there should be a door, because in the old house...it was. OMG! what are we doing here! I never will love this house like I loved the old...but a few years from now you wouldn't change it, ever for the old hose.
Yes, somewhere, someone, had plans, just for the two of you.

Georg
