I have been thinking of all those close to me who are having a hard time right now and struggling to make ends meet through no fault of their own and it breaks my heart because I feel there has to be something I can do to make their lives a bit easier. I pray day and night and I know my prayers are always heard, because He sees deep within our hearts.

I Talked to my Father Last Night
April 27, 2009
Written By: Rose Marie Rideout

I talked to my Father last night,
I asked that He help to make things right.
I told Him how you’re hurting to,
You don’t know what else you can do,
I wondered if He might lend His hands,
To help fulfill your few demands.
I talked to my Father again today,
And these are the words that I did say.

I said Jesus, I feel their hurt and stress,
They can’t sleep, and there’s no time for rest,
They need help and strength along the way,
So they can see the light of day.
They need to pay their bills, buy food,
And keep their home,
But they are feeling pushed aside,
failed and all alone.
Tell them Father what is it they can do,
I know you hear the words I pray to you.

Not everyone has faith in you above,
But I know for each of us you truly love,
You are there when we are weak and have our say,
I know you hear our hearts each time we pray.
I accept the blame when I’ve done wrong,
I give you praise  each day in prayer and song,
You given us the right and wrong to chose,
If we follow you, we’ll never lose.

So tell them Father, what is it they can  do,
Please help them Jesus, I pray to you.
Help them see the light through the door,
Help them have faith for evermore.
I talked to my Father last night,
I asked that He help to make things right,
I talked to my Father again today,
I pray things will be brighter each  and everyday.

Beautiful sis, and so very true, I have had several talks with our Father as well. It gives me pease of mind and peace in my heart as well. In fact it is what keeps my sanity in tact. I start my day off speaking to Him ever morning, again sis, beautiful write.

A lovely poem of intercession - that unselfish "bridging of the gap" between man and God through prayer. As you bring others to His throne, you come face to face with the God of the universe and like, Moses, His radiance rubs off on you after. Awesome God!

Rose....this poem means so very much to ME personally. Thank you! There are so many of us, as you describe...who have problems in life; some more severe than others...yet; pain is pain. So many on AD are going thru hardships; emotionally, physically and financially; so I too pray that He will hear your prayers...and mine. Please know you mean so much to us; and thank you for your kindness, and your care. hugs, lindalaw
