There are too many couples living their lives in pure misery. The good Lord had other plans for us. We were to find our true mate for life, to love and respect till death do us part. We have one life to live and we should live it happily with the one we love. We should never have to silence our love deep within as our hearts scream out to the one we love, the one who truly care for. I almost made that mistake but knew I had to be happy and loved. We have been the happiest for almost 37 years.
Silenced Within the Heart August 22, 2009

The lights are dim, the bed is cold,
There is no love here, so I am told.
I long to feel his arms again,
I wipe the tears that fall like rain.
A voice is heard within a heart,
A love that is real from the start.
Why do we spend our life in misery,
With our love hidden in secrecy.
One life to live, one life alone,
With this stranger inside our home.
A love awaits for me out there,
With a heart he’s willing to share.
Please wake me from this horror dream,
Protect me from the hurt and pain I scream.
Hold me in your arms, let’s make a fresh start,
Release the love silenced within our heart.
Time is precious and a love so true , Meant to be shared by the perfect two,
It’s not to hurt or cause the heart pain,
It shouldn’t cause tears to fall like rain.
Love should set the heart and soul free,
So true lovers can be together for eternity.
Emotions cause silence within the heart,
That should have been set free from the start.
great write sis, yes in this world too many hold their love deep within. It is so sad, when they don't set it free to allow it to flow into their loved one's heart. We are so lucky that we are always willing to show and give our love freely to the most important people in our lives. It really is a blessing isn't it.
many do live that way for many different reasons. One of our sone is staying in an unhappy marriage for the kids , he says. It sad to see the unhappiness and turmoli. I think there is a true love out there somewhere for some who are looking. They have only to find that special person and their lives will forever change. It happens at the most unexspected times..M
GREAT poetry; but in the meantime keep givin' that LOVE and filling the silence to all those little creatures and unfortunates in your nearby world (and to your art) That's what I do; I've been alone 5 years now... but sadly I've turned my kitty-cats human. Now they know a love they should never have known and probably fear the coming loss...

I lived in Silence for 10 years, before I had enough guts to leave my ex husband. IT was the best thing that I ever did. I am still searching for that soul mate though...Is he near? I certainly hope so!

Rose...I think you words will reach others who really need this enlightening encounter for love & their self. I myself have never been shy to go after what I want or what I feel I need & it is such a good thing to pursue the presence in ones heart. Emotional Wealth is as important anything else in life. I cannot imagine being with anyone for a duration of anytime & being miserable & vise versa...

The rate of divorces after a year of marriage has soar to incredible highs, all 47% FORTY SEVEN PERCENT! ! ! after using an humongous quantity of money on gown, church, reception, and honeymoon...they discover that although the other side of the bed is occupied, it is cold there. Shouldn't love last forever?
I love this Rose. It really touched me. Unfortunately that one special one we can't be with for reasons of our own. We make committments early in life and are out of obligation and vows must live that life "for better or for worse". I wish you love as it's meant to be.
