Teardrops and Heartaches
are a price we often have to pay,
When a love we’ve worked hard for,
Have up and gone astray.

Too often love will wander,
down an unknown road,
Where danger is well hidden,
and the heart sometimes explode.

Sometimes it finds it’s way back,
But the strength just isn’t there,
The love that once was,
Is washed away by another tear.

Too many harsh thoughts,
Unkind words spoken out loud,
The love that once was,
Is surrounded by a dark cloud.

Too many teardrops and heartaches,
A terrible price one has to pay,
Just because one got lost,
When they up and went astray.
