In the mist of making A Santa Suit for Fee my sewing machine decided to take sick. Maybe I have overused it through the years. I told Fee not to fear, Santa will have clothes to wear after all we don't want Santa going around in the nude.

Badly Broken Machine
October 29, 2009
Written by: Rose Marie Rideout

There I sat in the quiet of the day,
No time for rest, no time for play,
Santa’s in need of a new wardrobe,
Before he delivers his hefty load.

The machine is tired, It’s getting old,
It can only do so much, I am told,
But I told Santa have no fear,
I don’t want him going naked and bare.

The tread is breaking, and knotting real bad,
It’s hardly moving, it sounds so sad,
Many years have passed on through,
Much sewing was done since it was new.

But I still have fingers, I sew real fine,
Santa’s suit will be ready in plenty of time,
I never start what I can’t deliver,
Even though my fingers will quiver.

Old Santa will be as proud as can be,
He’ll tell his elves, it was designed by me,
So he’ll be warm as he delivers that night,
I’ll deliver his suit, that I’ll sew real tight.

SWEET sissy, loving written just for Santa and his elves, and I am sure St. Nick appreciates it deeply in his time of need. But about the part of him going naked and bare if you don't get it finished, hummm, maybe that's a thought. LOL

Love you sis,
Selena

yep, they do get to the point where even a can of oil doesn't keep them going. I know the fingers work well, and you'll get it done in the nick of time. You are special. LadyJ

We know you are a Rose, we didn't knew you were one of Santa's industrious elfs as well!

I wish I had a sewing machine to send ya, but alas, I am not a seamstress. My Gramma was a wonderful seamstress - I didn't take after her. Can't even sew on a button or make a straight line. LOL Hope Santa is good to ya, you deserve nothing but the best - well done, Rose.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

God bless you Rose for you are one and all to me. I know Santa will have something special for you this year. Can't wait to try it on and pose for a modeling session to share with all our good little AD boys and girls...and no not a naughty Santa shot.
hugs
Fee

Oh Rose, I wish I lived closer I would lend you a hand...I have many sewing machines, but my favorite is my Bernina electronic..It is wonderful.. Good luck. Check your bobbin case, that could be the problem, they do break down after much wear!
Peace, love, and light,

Hooray for you Rose!! Are you sure you're not one of Santa's helpers cleverly disguised as a wonderful woman with a heart of gold? Nicely done...the poem and the Santa Suit!

Hugs,
Anna

Sorry to hear your machine gave up the ghost; hope someone can come to your rescue, so you can make Fee's Santa Claus suit! After all, you wouldn't want Santa to freeze his jingle bells off! LOL Well done, Rose; brava!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
