When I look at those pictures, I feel peaceful, I hear a whisper, I feel love so gentle, I never want to wander away from it.

The Peacefulness of the Water

What is it I notice as I look at the peacefulness
While I rest on the warf near the sea,
I feel  the silence and the strength of the waters,
As it softly whispers and beckons to me.

The waves are the music and the spray are like tears,
Begging for admiration for it’s sight.
As we gaze at the waters enjoying it’s beauty,
Taking in it’s peacefulness in the early night.

The water savors beauty and contentment,
Shares more love then one can hold.
As one listens to the gentle whispers
Through the peacefulness for the young and old.

Quiet as the dream of a love,
That will last a lifetime to each,
The love that flows for evermore,
A dream, so close yet still out of reach.

Hush my darling, look at the peacefulness,
As we snuggle  together near the sea,
Feel the silence and the strength of the waters,
In dreams delivering love that will always be.

Water, as your words, Rose, can be lovingly soothing and the picture drawn of one and the loved one sitting beneath the warmth of a blanket looking at the peaceful sea gives me a sense of nostalgia.

Ahh yes, being in a country where you can't be more than 70 miles from the sea this bring memories and day to day occurrences where on sees a sea so full of tranquillity that it is like a mirror with the reflections of the sea gulls and to walk or swim in it, one thinks of Alice through the looking glass.

What amazes me about this poem is how you have brought the tranquillity to at least one person I know in your reviews who has never seen the sea.
