Happy Paddy’s Day
March 17, 2010
By Rose Marie Rideout
Lost in the Far away
Of a place in another Land,
There lived a certain fellow ,
Who no one could understand.
He dresses all in green,
From his head to his toe,
Often people would say,
This is how he dresses to go.
We adopted his custom,
Each year on a special day,
We wear all our greens,
And call it St. Paddy’s Day.
They say he carries with him,
A small bag of GOLD,
And if you can catch him,
The Gold is your’s I’m told.
I hope you all where your Green,
To celebrate this day,
Remembering to wish all,
A HAPPY PADDY’S DAY.
Wonderful St. Paddy's Day poem, and as my Irish cousin would say,
Erin go braugh! (Long live Ireland)
