Follow Me Little One

Why are you kneeling alone in the dark,
Little one tell me why you cry,
Let me wipe away your fallin tears,
Share with me little one, tell me why.

Who has hurt you little darling,
Why did they make you so blue,
Tell me what they have done,to your body
Come let me take care of you.

You say that you are praying,
God above will hide you from pain,
Hoping they will go away,
Letting your innocence remain.

Take my hand little one and let me lead you,
To where it is safe and they can’t hurt you anymore,
God has sent me little darling to protect,
Take my hand, and I’ll lead you out that door.

Hold your little head up high,
Let me wipe those tears you cry,
For they won’t hurt you anymore,
They’ll suffer behind locked doors.

Would this Voice prevail as the spoken word of a loving, ever-watchful God (male/female) in the hearts and minds of all those vulnerable young ones, Rose. And may there be also a responsible, caring adult on the scene to respond in this way too. Your loveliness shines here. xx

Children so need to be reminded every day that they are loved and cared for, also protected against harm..Trust is the first thing that goes when there is any kind of abuse..Thought provoking poetry, Rose, thanks for sharing.

Well done Cuz, kind of bittersweet. It is good she finds comfort in prayer and someone else who cosoles her but sad she had to get to that point in the first place.
