Just Because Time Goes on

What ever happened to those days,
First when we met, so long ago,
Remember that look,
That look that sent shivers,
You remember it well, I know.

What ever happened to that touch,
Each time you carressed my body,
Remember that touch,
That touch that made me melt,
You remember it just as much.

What ever happened to words,
Words so softly spoken,
Remember those whispered in my ear,
Oh how I remember them,
I remember them oh so clear.

You needed me as I needed you,
We still need each other,
Remember the need, even now I cry,
For that was then and this is now,
What ever happened,  Why?

Why, time has passed,
We find our own ways for pleasure,
Our ways of needing,
We know how to fulfill our needs,
I know and yes I remember.

I still get those shivers,
I still feel the need,
I see that look that goes far beyond,
I still remember,
Why, just because time goes on
