This past Sunday, Fred and I held our annual Filled Christmas Stocking Fundraiser. We were so pleased at the outcome. Twenty-six children arrived along with twenty-four adults to deliver filled socks for the less fortunate. So far there's a count of 90 filled socks. Love is great and I was so happy to see those children so willing to give. Here's a picture of Santa with most of the children.

This will be a
Christmas To Remember

December 14, 2020
By Rose Marie Rideout

Together we have done it,
Filled many hearts on Christmas day,
We’ve collected 90 filled socks,
For the less fortunate along the way.
Some may be young children,
While others young at heart,
Together we have done it,
What a wonderful way to start.

Together we have succeeded,
To share a smile with each child,
Together we have wiped those tears away,
Together we have opened our hearts,
To others in more need,
Believing in Togetherness,
With devoted love we can succeed.

This will be a Christmas to remember,
As Santa comes each year in December,
All spreading the good news, we celebrate,
The birth of our New Born King,
As we see the children smile,
While the Choir of Angels sing.
This will be a Christmas to remember,
Together we fill many hearts on Christmas Day,
Remembering it’s the Christ Child  born on this,
His Special Day.

Bless you, Rose... the true spirit of Christmas lives in your heart, your home, this poem.... May its blessing return to you manifold this Christmastime and in the coming year ahead. Our children used to do shoeboxes in the same way. Brings back happy memories... but why "memories", I ask myself? You show me the way again, thank you. xx
