Pretty well each and everyone of us strayed in life, it's okay, it is part of who we have become, we should never be ashame to find our way back.
I guess I should mention this is on the coldest, heartless thing a stranger can do to a person and nothing to do with marriage.

If You Wander Away, Wander Back

In life we may wander off in different directions,
In today’s world we are taught with the best of technologies.
Today more than ever we know right from wrong.
When we start to wander just like the GPS we still have our bible to lead us.
We know right from wrong, we have a conscience, which lets us know.
When we get that ache way down in the pit of our stomach or that voice that says
I don’t think I should have pushed it that far, we know.
We know we have done wrong and led ourselves astray.
We start to lose the only few friends we have, we feel left alone, cold and tired.
Tired of life, because we wandered too far, it’s not too late,
you’d be too quick to turn on that GPS to find your way back
so now is the time to open your Good Book, turn to God the Father and go back home.
It’s never easy to say I’m sorry, to admit you were wrong to another but
At least you will rest better at night, you can pray without feeling guilty.
You could stop looking over your shoulders for the rest of your life and you
Could start walking through life without always running from those around you.
Life is way too short to make it miserable for yourself, saying you’re sorry are big words
That make you a bigger person. It’s never too late to turn around and head back in the
right direction

Strength comes in admitting and owning up to mistakes made and humbling oneself to ask for forgiveness and then demonstrating redemptive actions. Peace, maturity and wisdom are the rewards. Great poem. God bless.

I left for my son. I was afraid for his life. Abusive husband and cruelity were all I knew from day one. My son needed safe place to grow and be loved. I know that God understood why I left to protect my baby.

Although I know your heart and your faith are in the right place dear cuz...I have to agree with Mark on this one. Sometimes life and committments force people together while forcing their love elsewhere and yes sometimes things go to far to find the way home and we must take the best road we can find to get through this world in one piece.

The right direction? Sometimes it's hard to know which direction is the right direction. A marriage of anger can mean terrible discomfort for the kids. Sometimes, because life IS short, sometimes, under certain conditions, wandering away may actually be going in the right direction. Not all of us, I might actually add that for many of us the bible means less than nothing so to suddenly turn to a god that one may not really believe in may give one the feeling of being completely hypocritical. This critique is not necessarily taken from the way I lived my life, but, If it were not for my children -- and maybe it would have been best for them if I did leave -- but, if not for my children I certainly would have been on the lookout for a happier place.

You're right, Rose, it's never too late to turn your life around....but I think that kind of thinking comes with a maturity...that unfortunately many of us don't achieve until we're approaching the autumn of our lives. Nicely penned, my friend. Inspirational and uplifting writing indeed...
