- a few notes, a spiritual dimension -

Poem Artwork

Intimate purple -
a shadow and a light -
birth an encounter
at dusk.

So falls the mask,
allowing the blue note
to appear, reveal
the weariness.

Remove,
innocently groove
to the sound
that bubbles around.

Cut
the moment
in
the superfluous
out
then, melodious truth
and a slow heartbeat
will complete the picture.

But I let it go.
No snapshot,
let it flow...
As he blows
the divine instrument
that sets all free.

Axilea - I see the sky as the sun goes down -red sun blue sky = purple dusk. Light transformed to music expressing the blue mood. The spirit of life is God's instrument.Loved the mixture of light and music. - David

There is more to this than meets the eye. For me, it is reminiscent of letting go of life's hurts [abuses] and moving into a better place.

God bless you. Kathy

... I once had the privilege of attending a very intimate and private jam session in which Dizzy Gillespie playing. I remember sitting not more than a cocktail table away and listening in amazement. Your poem reminds me of that very special moment in time, allowing me to revisit the magnificence of the man and his music. It was a spiritual experience to witness a master of music making.... and your poem capture that essence....

Wonderfully written...starting with the superb title...

Axilea,
You have a rare talent for painting colored symphonies of sound and emotion through the medium of words. This poem might easily be used as a focus of meditation and access to the wondrous magickal regions of our minds. Your spirit is truly a beautiful place and your words shine light into the hidden recesses of all your readers' inner consciousness.

SSHHHH, can you hear that?.......the slow heartbeat, the hoof beats, and the resounding applause. Very beautiful poem--beautiful accompanying picture. There are so many levels to this poem, and different movements--like in music: colors, masks, sound, action, and then conclusion. My favorite was the "4th movement"--you could say that it moved me. The short, jutting phrases "cut" into the meaning, hacking it to bits; and then it concluded softly--a beautiful, slithering snake, "grooving" through the grass, then khhhisssssss, she eats up the nasty rodent, and "flows" away to gentle strains. It wasn't until the "second movement" that I heard the music, but when I did, it was a gracefull crescendo--(lol) a masterfully orchestrated piece. --Charlie
