Night of the Wulph

This story/poem was written as part of a virtual Halloween party amongst a group of us here on the Den. It brings a sad smile to read Georg Mateos' review for he is gone now. He was my mentor and though we never met face to face, I considered him a friend. So, in honor of Georg and that incredible Halloween, first read "Ladies, Meet Wulph D. Bane" by Denise Edwards for a formal introduction to our worthy antagonist, then read this answer to a challenge I was only too eager to meet!

Poem Artwork

Crisp, smoke-flavored air
Greets me as I step out
Onto my front porch
And I pull my jacket close
Before looking up
Into the clear, star-filled sky.
There is no moon
To add its mystery
To this Halloween night
And as I leave the porch behind,
I am grateful
For the lights
Lining the sidewalk.
I am occasionally jostled
By costumed kids roaming the streets,
Their plastic pumpkins and pillowcases
Filling rapidly
As they go door-to-door
Extorting sugary booty
From the smiling faces within.
For thirty minutes I walk,
Enjoying the exercise
And the merry munchkins
Dressed as alter egos;
But I don't know where I'm going
When I turn down a side street,
Following the directions
I had been given earlier.
No trick-or-treaters here
And the houses are old,
Heavily shadowed,
And threatening.
A party? Here?
I pause, my heart pounding,
Straining to find
Some sign of life
As common sense
Screeches at me
To turn back!
Then, from behind,
I sense a presence
Moments before
A deep, sibilant voice asks,
"Looking for Fee's?"
Expensive cologne
And potent pheromones
Envelope me
In a seductive cloud
That I instinctively,
But only half-heartedly,
Resist.
"Fee's?" I ask,
My voice, like my body, languid.
What is wrong with me?
"Freaky Fee's," the voice answers,
Closer now,
"Are you looking for the party?"
Common sense continues to screech,
Don't answer! Leave!
But I only nod,
My head feeling heavy
On my neck.
"Yes."
"It hasn't started yet."
"Oh."
A chuckle whispers
Across my nape.
"A delicate lady, alone
On a deserted street
With The Wulph.
How fortunate..."
Warm, damp kisses
Are pressed gently
Against my ear,
"For you."
I struggle mightily
Against the impending
Lassitude
But only succeed
In loosing a moan
As I feel his strong body
Press into my back
And his hands
Find their way
Inside my jacket.
Our breathing quickens,
Releasing clouds
Of wispy vapor
Into the cool night
As lustful fire
Finally silences
The screeches
In my mind.
 "Tell me," he growls,
"Have you ever
Done it...doggie-style?"
Before I can respond
I am pulled
Away from the street
And deeper
Into the shadows
Of an ancient elm
Where briefly,
My good sense
And inhibitions
Flare one last time
Before flickering out,
Extinguished
By the onslaught
Of blood
Rushing feverishly
Through my body.
The weakness leaves me
And suddenly
I am consumed
With a carnal need
Unlike any
I have ever experienced
Before
To bring a strong man
To his knees.
There is no tenderness,
Only raw sexuality,
As we tear the clothes
From one another's bodies,
Hands feverishly seeking
What the dark and shadows
Would hide.
His skin is covered
With a coarse pelt,
It's texture unbearably arousing
Against my soft skin
As I kiss, lick and nip
My way around his chest
And down his washboard belly.
Consumed with my own power,
I growl and snarl
And fight the hands
That would bind me,
Barking my demands
In a voice gone deep
With animalistic passion
Before pulling him
To the leaf-strewn ground
And taking
The dominant position.
There in the friendly dark,
The party long forgotten,
We spend tireless hours
Traveling around the world,
Creatively challenging
Each other
And, sometimes,
The very laws of physics.
But with the first dawning
My exotic lover
Suddenly retreats
And quietly begins to dress,
His movements,
Once fluid and graceful
Now stiff and awkward.
In the slight graying of the light
I watch his shadow
As he approaches,
Looming over me
Where I still sit
Upon my jacket
On the ground.
"I must go," he says,
The cockiness of the night before
Gone from his voice
And replaced with exhaustion.
At first I say nothing,
Only reach out my hand
And caress his sinewy leg,
Recalling with perfect clarity
What it felt like
To straddle his muscular limbs
With my thighs
And the sounds
Of his helpless pleasure,
And in the gloamy light of morning
I smother a smug smile.
"Happy Halloween," I whisper instead,
And with a last caress
I release him
And watch him limp away.

A very "hot" and apt and timely write, Rebecca. Most engaging to say the least. Also a good remembrance of George. Love and best wishes to you,

Awe, Rebecca, you naughty gurl! I knew Wulph D. Bane was wicked, but he seems to be no match for the Fiery vixen with unquenchable passion, he met that night! Wow, sexy, steamy Gothic erotica! I love it! Love it!
