There is a word
Running through my mind
And it seems to sum up
How I am feeling;
I feel the sun
Shining warm
On my face
And smell the bread
Baking
From inside the kitchen,
Friends are calling
To wish me well,
While my favorite music,
Celtic,
Wafts gently
From the stereo;
I and my loved ones
Are happy and well,
And the future
Is rich with promise,
Of course
I really don't know
What the next day,
Or hour, may bring,
But for now
Everything is simply
Lovely.
Rebecca, I so loved this poem. I too, love celtic music and play it much and have many of those experiences you mention during the Holidays which are around a not too distant future again. I am happy for your peace and enjoyment and your ability to appreciate it so. Be well, Kathy
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
