Poem Artwork

When I touch myself...
Is that you
Caressing my cheek?
Is that you
Cupping my neck?
Is that you
Gently holding my hand?
What is this quickening
That I feel surrounding me?
Is it you?
My overactive imagination?
Or am I finally
Losing my mind?
I don't know what
To think.
Dare I hope
All these things mean
That you do exist
Somewhere near
Or far away?
Is it really you
After all?

I love this poem! It reminds me of some of the things I write about...love lost, love imagined, short time love. Thanks for sharing.

There appears to much longing,as well as a sense of loneliness in the romantic write.

These are the tricks of a fantasy that never fully clarifies itself. Still, it is nice in the making even if it doesn't always come true.
