Unions are needed to protect workers from all sorts of "happenings."

Unions are what helped guarantee everyone's pension and health benefits and wages. The lack of unions today, day laborers who are here illegally. They are all a result of the lack of unions. People don'T understand that unions help everyone whether they are in a union or not. They help keep wages livable and in the USA. Excellent write. Liz

There are times when unions exaggerate. And if they are linked to a political party, then they can cause trouble. On the other hand there are occasions when they are necessary. One must evaluate their aims. For example in Italy AliItalia Airlines is bankrupt. It is doing its utmost to save the company, but the unions are always striking. One day people will find themselves out of a job all due to the fault of their union. They think the government will continue to subsides the airline and save their jobs. Victor
