There is a thread that combines us as one--

A commonality unlike any other.

We are sewn together by our souls as a unit

Of divine provenance that cannot be undone.

The boundaries by which we are defined

Are greater than the sum of all of us.

That ‘tie that binds’ is stronger than we let on

And makes us entities that God helps refine.

Making shear demands on other mortal spirits

Is not a part of the entire Plan that is in mind

For all of us to witness and behold.

Enchantment with earthly desires will have no merits

When the time comes to leave this planet

And reach an even higher plain.

No, God’s Plan ties us together in spirit.

Our voices will raise a chorus when He grants it,

And we leave our all our bondage behind.

That thread is Love for each because we are ‘mankind.’
