Admonition of TRUTH: "Think what you will! It is easier than prying your foot from your mouth or your head from your posterior. Once it leaves the tongue, it is like the internet...you can not delete it!"

Poem Artwork

Distant grumblings pierce the silence within

Dark clouds of emotions gather

The Winds of Change, blow

Roiling the air of discontent

Closer...Closer, comes the storm

Bolts of Anger, Frustration, Pain, cut through space

Electrifying...Lighting the panorama of fear

The darkness grows, invading like a cancer

Agony- screams out

Shaking the foundationof SOUL

Tornadic grief whilrs from those betrayers

Who cast stones at the delicate windows of trust

Broken, shattered, cutting a swath of internal destruction

Thunderous cries quake and shutter in deciples of dispair

Listen...listen...The Storm RAGES!

Through the surge of impotent Power

A ray of sunshine on the lips of love

Breaks through the maelstrom

Eyes of understanding, compassion, see

Through The Storm...warm in their light

The calm returns

Tears rain down in steady release

Protectively held in the richness

Safe in the embrace of a Promise

Of a New Day!

Love this. No matter what pain, grievous state we find ourselves in. Either due to the actions of another, there is always the promise of tomorrow. A new day. A new beginning to leave the past behind. Beautifully sculpted.

This is superb work, Kristian I sense betrayal from ones who can no longer be trusted The last two stanzas really stand out for me "safe in the embrace of a Promise" beautiful work

At first I thought I was reading from Revelations. And then I see that common sense and sanity arrived at the end. Nicely written.

Beside Still Waters by Jill Eisnaugle

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
