The Love Affair Between His Pen And My Heart

Poem Artwork

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Poetry And Flesh
By La Belle Rouge
he pens a deafening implosion of lust
and the joyful melody of love’s calliope
within his lexis perfection dwells
should he pen an infinite number of verses
i would read them all and weep at their beauty
and if his mysterious thoughts filled an ocean
i would gratefully, greedily drink its depths
yet never would his words be enough
to sate the longing of my lips to taste his
or the ache of my arms to hold him
my heart skips at the mere imagination
of beating intimately next to his in the night
his name is indelibly inscribed in red
on the purest page of my soul
hidden from the eyes of a prying world
in the place where dreams are secretly spun
into the substance of undying love
he has been my greatest joy, my deepest pain
the object of my lust, the temple of my love
he traverses the span of my consciousness
and captures the four corners of my mind
with little more than the sound of his name
and if poetry were flesh we would be melded
in the perfection of soulmated lovers forever
Tender musings here, I guess it's fair to say we all envy the bandit who put your tongue to cheek, but don't keep it there to long or they'll be askin for some chew. Great write though. ;)
Belle.
The title is so evocative that one despairs that the verse can even come close --- a usual you have pulled it off admirably
