Swedish Halloween Ball Announcement
By La Belle Rouge

Time to plan for the annual Halloween Ball
Last year Freaky Fee showed a good time to all
This year there will be a creepy new venue
Would an ancient vampire castle in Sweden do?
I’ve been asked by Elder Edvard Nosferatu
To help plan the orgiastic event for all of you
Oh it will be so grand in dank Castle Mateos
for all you weirdoes and neck biting players

I’ll be flying in from sinful Big Easy Town
To assist him in the mischief going down
I’m not taking a slow ship or a fast plane,
The Queen Of The Night would be insane
I’ll simply fly high on my vampire wings
and to Ole Edvard’s castle and I’ll bring
a great jazz band of dead zombies green
with lively horns, know what I mean?

So make your plans and pack your bags
all you wanton wraiths, phantasms and hags
Come as you are, no need to deny or hide
the dark things you truly are deep inside
Ancient Edvard and I are preparing a feast
bloody bull balls and egrets aged beaks
ladyfingers still wearing dainty pearl rings
moldy brain matter and other disgusting things

Welcome to all witches and werewolves too
and you stunning goddesses, welcome to you
I know ole Edvard in a corner will back you
He likes to bite you, pinch you and smack you
I’ll just turn my head and pretend I don’t see
but remember he’ll be sharing his coffin with me
We’ll have a Halloween ball to end all balls
We’ll dance in the dungeon and down great halls

Scandinavian mountains are rocky and cold
hospitable to undead, half dead... or just old
So come one and all ; this is an open invitation
Spread the news over each and every nation
Please RSVP soon via AD poetry board
A party like this can’t be dismissed or ignored
Let this yearly fantasy take us where it will
with some dark horror stores and chilling thrills

But be kind and courteous and don’t come knockin
if “Don’t Disturb” sign is on the door
and the coffin is rockin

Sounds like a great party to me
I will wear my best feathers and put on clean buzzard briefs
Could be a bit late, you know the traffic that night is heavy
With all those low flying brooms and all
See you at Castle Mateos

LaBelle,
You walk wonderfully the tightrope between horror and humour; no, you don't walk, you romp and sprint and overwhelm..."and the coffin is rockin" Wow! This is just so so good.

Sounds like a wiener to moi / I don't suppose you have forgotten to make sure the ghouls are on their best behavior, they can be, you know, like . . . Party Poopers.

Oh my! Oh my! the castle is full of hungry bats and many other creatures of unmentionable names trying their best to make ambiance!
I should approve the invitation, although, no matter what the Queen of the Night Zombie Bride says...I am open to suggestions!!!

PS. my Ancient Brothers ED, Peewee & Jersey Devil will be attending and drag that kicking'n fightin' Sis of ours, Tiger Lily.

Egads, I asked OLD Brother Edvard to leave out the bloody balls and beaks this year. Brother Jersey Devil Ed will now be quite worried about his old reptile beak, and this old Wolfman will have to wear my steel cup protector again!!

PS: And Ma has warned me many times not to eat old Edvard's Swedish Meatballs!
