He certainly was no Preacher, but a teacher, a man of the highest courage, who taught not but love,and practiced it, it takes an immense amount of courage, which finally took his life. You say it well, Red, what we have now, is the law, though shall'ts not, or you will be stoned, outcast, torturred, put in jail, and God knows what else, where is the love? I think Ronald hit on a point with the new Pointive, he finally spoke up for those who for whatever reason did and do not fit the mold, and finally too, for his name sake, for the awful un christian things we do to the creatures of this world. Daniel hit on a note which says it best, he did not judge, but brought nothing but love. We could try that with more effort in his spirit, I think when they made Him a god, it was a good excuse, for most Christians to say, oh I am only human, I can't possibly do that, then when they sin, they put another nail in his foot on the cross. Your most wonderful piece, what would Jesus do, hit a note, and almost tempted me to write once more. Lov, Jasmin.

You would have to visit many a church on sunday morning to find Jesus at one of them these days, his church was being out with down and out people, low class and lowly folk by todays' standards( not mine) even people the "Christians" would call evil doers like harlots, etc. Thats who he ministered too! The Bible says true religion is ' helping orphans and widow'!!!!

Bell says it Best...we all trip, stumble and fall...ask for forgiveness and try to better ourselves in the long haul..."what would Jesus do?"...pour out love, let it fall and see who gets the gest of all things that are beautiful and rely on love!

I don't believe I read it before during my days of off-and-on reading, but you hit a home run with this one. I find myself more and more using the phrase, "What would Jesus do."

I am so grateful to the Roman Catholic Church for finally choosing a papal leader who understands what it means to be the candle bearer for Jesus.

My admiration level for your poetry just shot through the roof!

"What would Jesus do," indeed. We all can look unto ourselves and find that we can be very lacking in compassion, my comment to your last poem points that out sadly. Hopefully we learn from our mistakes, and can correct them in the future. I'm sure we all know "What would Jesus do."

I KNOW THAT MANY CHRISTIANS ARE TERRIBLE REPRESENTATIVES OF WHAT THEY CLAIM TO BE. BUT, WHAT IS A CHRISTIAN? A CHRISTIAN IS A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST. WE DON'T ALWAYS DO A GOOD JOB OF FOLLOWING AND, MANY TIMES, CHRISTIANS ARE NOT PERFECT, BUT WITH REPENTANCE, WE ARE...FORGIVEN. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CHRISTIAN AND THE NON-CHRISTIAN...THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES THE CHRISTIAN 'BEAUTIFUL' IS THE GRASPING OF FORGIVENESS, THROUGH 'FAITH'. OFTEN WE ARE SPIED DURING WEAK MOMENTS, DOING AND SAYING THINGS THAT WE SHOULDN'T. HOWEVER, THERE IS A INWARD WORK OF GROWTH(GLORY TO GLORY)GOING ON THAT CANNOT BE SEEN...YET. WE OFTEN STUMBLE ALONG THE WAY. WE COME SO SHORT AND IF NOT FOR WONDROUS MERCY AND GRACE WE WOULD BE DESTROYED. BUT, HOLD ON MY FRIEND, KEEP WATCHING! FOR, WE FALL, WE GET BACK UP, WE CLING, WE REPENT AND WE...PRESS ON! SO THEN, THE CROSS? Jesus loved teaching in the fields, by the boat docks, ........oh! you have put it the way it is written. As for "what would Jesus do?", He'd do it all again with love. Great write, my friend!
