My Dwarf Nigerian Goats, Oynx, Amber and Topaz
I've never understood why God is going to put the goats on his left hand and banish them from heaven. To me they are delightful creatures. Stubborn, yes but much more interesting than sheep!
Free As A Goat
Goats have few problems to cause them pain
They have a shed to shelter them from rain
A tower to play on in the warm sunshine
Playmates to share life's good times
Green grass as far as they can hope to travel
No stress, no sweat, no mess to unravel
No responsibilities, no overdue bills
Butterflies to give them thrills
Peaceful dark nights, long sunny hours of play
Some grain to enjoy at the end of each day
Ear scratches and pets on boney heads
Fresh, sweet straw makes their beds
Goats are blessed and free as free can be
They teach life lessons to you and me
Within your own fence find the green

Great ode to the misunderstood goat. My sister loved them for a while, but like fads, she often tires of animals she takes in as pets.
If we replace cattle with goats and bison. We would have richer, more nutritious food, a smaller carbon footprint, and more resilient farmland ecosystem, and less obesity.
I once posted something at a certain website and I quote Caligula was never one to get your goat for he was not given to humor, but every time he would get your sheep, then I posted the baaaaaaa scene from the Roman senate.
