Love's Prelude

be a seeker of resolute performances 

in your moment to moment breaths 

ears turned to developing romantic etudes

resolute, oh yes, I've been purposeful 

each moment, each breath, all my ardor  

I have listened intently for your voice

compassion the fashion of your attire 

focus your heart to see 

more keenly than your vision

my heart has been clothed in compassion 

it has been focused on liberation 

seen more clearly with psyche than eyes

never don deceit's guise 

whisper whenever opportunity 

lends its ears to passion day and night

Desire follows love, as passion does desire 

no cold deceit can survive love's fire 

hear my whispers, my invitations

harbor no illusions beyond understanding 

let dawn's light be the promise 

for a day where sharing holds sway

each dawn and every twilight 

all day our time is shared together 

illusions have vanished in sweet reality

make each embrace 

be the measure of 

all your love can carry

do you feel it, Beloved 

in the touch of my hands 

in my embrace, where love lives

  be led in ways 

that make a pale moon 

bright with jealousy

my pathway illuminated always  

by love steeped in divine light

be envious of our union, moon

the one you love 

should never doubt 

the devotion of your heart

look into my heart, fully open 

only to the one holding my hand  

feel the full measure of my devotion
