What A Wonder Is A Book!

When You Read when you're bored with nothing to do here's a bit of good advice for you go to the bookshelf, pull out a book see how little effort that took? open that book and start to read on it's pages find what you may need to run away and have a good time find it in stories or a book of rhyme travel easily to China or Japan or maybe some unknown fantasy land become a brave king or a wise wizard find out how to cook chicken gizzards play with cute puppies and kitty cats run with the horses, fly with bats curl up with red foxes in the wood do all the things you wish you could stay there all day, perhaps all night if you have a little reading light fight the battles, claim the prize soon you will be closing your eyes When you read your brain will grow many things you'll discover and know open that book and remember please life is exciting when you read

This is beautiful and all the children should get to read it. Our 5 children are all grown up in their 40s and 50s but they grew up reading books, we always encouraged it from when they were tots. Thank you for sharing and I will read this to my youngest grandchildren.
I am back on here writing poetry after being away for a few years.

Today, lots of people are reading but it's mostly online and mostly emails and comments on social media. I agree with you there's more to see and do in a book on any subject!

A wise and much-needed nudge for most people who have their text life immersed in abbreviated SM talk. My job for the past 18 years has had me proofing and editing 2 audio books a week, so my smiles for your urging readers to read is with pleasure and encouragement for those who are book pleasure starved. A change for you but it welcome invite for those who haven't read for a while to find out what it's like. I am one of those. Find it impossible to curl up with a good book in my hands. I must have the book on a flat surface in good light where I can read it for maybe, 20 pages before my neck or my eyes give out.

While I was having my wisdom tooth pulled this morning, a tall, good looking, black, dental technician couldn't wait to talk to me. When I was in for a consultation a couple of weeks ago, I gave her, the dentist and other members of the staff some of my books.

I was being sedated when she gave me the heart sign with her hands and said, "I love your writing. I read a few words and I started to laugh. And then I found out that it was a book of many different short stories, something I like, too.

She wanted me to tell her what book I would recommend next of mine. It's nice to see a young, rap savvy young lady on her mobile phone, learn to enjoy reading again.

They molested me while I was under against my wishes to go under, and my wisdom tooth was gone when I woke up along with the feeling on the left side of my jaw, tongue and lips.
