Trail of crumbs Metaphors Legacy of prose Not always well received Yet necessary Valid prognosis Muted cloak So many eyes Averted Truth still remains Despite such apathy Weeping willow Bent Unassuming Radical actions In our face today Riddle forth A thousand years The answer Still the same � Bill Grimes Jr. 2007

Bill, every day there is something new in our news media...we wait, we pray, we search, we try to single out one good article...will a brighter day soon smile upon our faces and bring us hope. A great writing.

Many thoughts conveyed through the simplicity of this poem. My feelings after reading this include sadness, bewilderment, and a hope for a brighter today and tomorrow.
