thunderstorms can be GREAT inspiration!

Poem Artwork

it's two thirty in the morning.
i am awake.
i watch lightning dance across the night sky.
i can't sleep,
so i lie here, thinking of you and i.

it's two thirty in the morning.
i am awake.
i remember the last time we made love.
i can't sleep.
our passions rivalled the storm up above.

it's two thirty in the morning.
i am awake.
your kisses slowly ignite desire.
i can't sleep...
the sky's not the only thing on fire.

it's two thirty in the morning.
i am awake.
your gentle hands softly explore my breast.
i can't sleep.
there's other things besides sleep--who needs rest?

it's two thirty in the morning.
i am awake.
you take my nipple into your warm mouth.
i can't sleep.
desire becomes a heat wave down south.

it's two thirty in the morning.
i am awake.
i love your eyes when you look down at me.
i can't sleep.
i still hear your voice, saying, "you're sexy."

it's two thirty in the morning.
i am awake.
you tremble as i feel your passions rise.
i can't sleep.
i know i have won the ultimate prize.

it's two thirty in the morning.
i am awake.
the thunderstorm matches us, strike for strike.
i can't sleep.
the pressure builds, it's gonna bust the dike.

it's two thirty in the morning.
i am awake.
storm, you and i thunder to a climax.
i'm getting sleepy.
i've learned storms at night help me to relax.
