You've said it very well, Karla. Served for 11 years, all stateside, and you're right; stateside vets are treated differently even tho we may have been 2,000 miles away from our families for months and months at a time. They wanted me so badly in 2003 they took me and stationed me at Fort Sill, Oklahoma even tho I was already totally disabled. Said they wanted my brain, not my body. And yet, I'm not considered a disabled veteran? Go figure!!!
