Don't know where this came from ... sometimes, they just got to be written.

i have never loved --
i have never had a man plant me on his chest,
to have his heart bloom with mine
in flowers of passion.

i have never loved --
i have never had a man sculpt me from marble,
creating a masterpiece
with skillful artist's hands.

i have never loved --
i've never had a man play me like a guitar,
who sang to me in the night
with private melodies.

i have never loved --
i've never had a man write a poem for me,
to autograph my soul with
perfect meter and rhyme.

i have never loved --
yet, hope remains bright with the rising of the sun
and the setting of the moon ...
God willing, tomorrow.
