Refreshing. But, I went back to get some of that sunshine this morning and it clouded over. In fact, for about a week we've had a high percentage of rain. There is a small window when I can get some sun each day. Unfortunately, while it is been sunny in the morning, when that window comes, it immediately clouds over. On top of that, it hasn't rained but .28 inches in three days. We are in desperate need of rain and it is reining all around us, but we are not getting it.
You can see I'm not in a sunny disposition. But my dawns are quiet, just not sunny. ;-)
I've appreciated the challenge of writing in disciplined formats for many years: Haibun, Triolet, Haiku, Tanka, Tanka-bun. Cinquain is one style I have not tried. I like the progression in this, Dan. The air after a storm, when it's saturated with negative ions, is fully refreshing. Thanks for sharing. r

This makes me think of the diamante style of poetry.
A diamante poem is a poem that makes the shape of a diamond. The poem can be used in two ways, either comparing and contrasting two different subjects, or naming synonyms at the beginning of the poem and then antonyms for the second half for a subject.
In the poems, the subject is named in one word in the first line. The second line consists of two adjectives describing the subject, and the third line contains three verbs ending in the suffix ing which are related to the subject. A fourth line then has four nouns, again related to the subject, but only the first two words are related to the first subject. The other two words describe the opposite subject. The lines then are put in reverse, leading to and relating to either a second subject or a synonym for the first. Here is the order:[3]
