Why is it that when I tell someone,

“God spoke to me, and said this or that,”

They tell me that I’m crazy as a bat?

But then on the other hand,

In sermons all across the land,

Some preacher man will always say,

"God gave me this sermon the other day."

Are those of the cloth the only ones,

Who God will talk to like his sons?

Hell no is what I have to say,

I talk with Him each and every day.

Some days He talks back,

Some days He just listens to me bitch.

It’s up to Him which is which.

Now Televangelists will always say,

God said, "Tell them," send your pledge to me today,

and to many poor folks blindly just obey.

Because they are so well spoken and handsome.

Remember when He held Oral Roberts for ransom?

So if I say God spoke to me today,

Please don’t let them .............lock me away!!
