A rush to judgement often leads,
Deeper into swamps and weeds,
Where sanity is all but green,
When lost, deep in the muck we’ve been,
All looks the same, from distance far,
A blob of light, a shiny star,
Your mind at best at times most rare,
Looks deeper more, that’s if you dare,
And as the world turns on its axis eons round,
Here and there, a kernel truth we found,
But since I lack a sense of knowing,
Don’t ask me, when and how the winds are blowing,
All is up, and it’s all down,
It matters not, if you’re a star, or if a clown,
All together though we are too big, too small,
We sure are that, we others call,
One is far too big to see,
For it’s all, it’s you and me,
The tree, the creature in the field,

It takes a certain amount of arrogance to survive in today's society, but it also takes intelligence. When you let ignorance and stupidity to rule what we do, we do a disservice to our stature as intelligent beings. I certainly do hope we wise up before it's too late.
