What shall I say
if by saying I set them to nought
the emotions churning within

What shall I say
if by speaking out  I turn them futile
the rising tide of feelings within

What shall I say
if by telling I spoil the very effect
of praising someone too many a time

What shall I say
if by confiding in you I reveal me in truth
and thus lose what I gained with understanding

Shall I then not
choose to be quiet
convere to my soul in solitude
for then I shall not be caught unawares.
