Little Girl

She's eight going on nine
a bit shy
but pretending not to be

Quiet, resourceful
spends most time dressing up dolls

I often peek from the corner
of my eye

And at times catch her aware
returning her own glimpse with care

Ah, but I wonder what each sees

Little girl, little girl
curious that I must seem
silent, bold, crude

You find a world, content at eight
I grope searching
restless and lost
at thirty eight



Έτσι

Αναρωτιέμαι.
Και πάλι … ξανά … Συλλογιέμαι
Κι' Αναρωτιέμαι
Τι;
Αυτό το Τι;
Τι φτωχούλικο
έ;

Τι πανάκια
Αυτό το Τι;

Δε μας γλητώνει;
Δε μας σώζει
Απ' τ' άλλο
Το ζόρικο
Το άτιμο
Γιατί;


My Star

A poem is but a star
that twinkles in the dark
of souls that shadows hide
of hearts with mellow pride

My poem is but a spark
that flickers from afar
timid of its force
weary in its source

Though be in glory meak,
a star to the sun is weak,
by you it comes to live,
its dwindling twilight to give.

Βιάζεται παναθεμάτη
Σε πνίγει

Θέλει να πεί τόσα…
Και μονομιάς…
Τρύζει μέσα σου
Σκούζει

Λάμπει το μάτι
Λες και σκουντά,
Το δάκρυ
Να τρέξει
Να τη σβίσει.
