Day is to night like

Love is to hate

We need both,

Without the other;

We cannot exist…

You are my life-filled

Inspiration and support

I love you unconditionally

And sometimes I hate you.

You make me aware of my own inequities,

During those times my restlessness comes out,

But in reality, it is my insecurity that I abhor.

You are human, and I refuse to be.

Why do I put so much pressure on myself?

I don’t expect perfection from you,

So why should I expect perfection from myself?

It is always with love I touch your soul,

So for this New Year, I shall tenderly touch mine too.

I vow to be kinder, more loving and understanding

Not only to everyone in my life, but also to myself.

It is with an act of love that I take on this challenge.

No one will love me like I do

But YOU!

Be there for me when I forget to be loving,

Tell me when I do not understand your needs,

Guide me when I lose sight of my vow,

For my love runs deeper than the day or night,

I am the love, the light, and the peace

Those we so need in our life,

Fulfillment is within our grasp,

And knowing that our love is unconditional

Is the key to opening our hearts.

Let us join in making a New Year of life

That is filled with love like no other,

Peace for all people in the world,

And the lightness of angel’s blessings.

Here’s to ringing in 2009 and letting go of 2008!
