A Beautiful Memory

The darkness was beginning to overtake me,
sadness was all around like shadows on the wall,
reminding me of childhood fears and traumas,
When your face appeared within the doorway.

Your love and energy was the saving grace
that brought me from sadness to hopefulness.
Your love was unconditional,
and your warmth was ever reaching.

You are a beautiful memory,
one that carries me through those dark nights,
and brings me safely home.
You have always touched the light within my soul.

This time you came to me with a message,
it was filled with loving encouragement.
You know my inner secrets,
You know my weaknesses and strengths,

Never do you dwell on the negative,
Always filling me with memories of beauty,
powerfully supportive, and gloriously generous.
Your presence in my life is fulfilling.

I cling to those beautiful memories
We were strong together,
and now I am living without you.
You are a beautiful memory within my soul.
