Evening of Moonlit Splendor

by Amber "V" Moonstone

June 18, 2009

The evening unfolded
hot and humid and cloudy
The ocean hummed
as I walked along the shoreline.

Missing the sound of the waves
crashing gently on the shore,
I thought of you,  wondering
what you were doing at that moment.

I cried out to the Universe,
please Universe send him to me,
I don't want to be alone any longer.
I have waited long enough.

It was silent, except for the sound of the waves.
I felt connected once again to the ocean,
Why did I abandon this connection, I asked myself.
This place where I always found solace.

I began to ponder why?
Why have I forgotten where I belong?
When did that all happen?
I thought for a while and cried salty tears.

I was punishing myself,
for feeling insecure and alone,
not allowing myself to live,
and that was unacceptable!

I sat upon a rock jetty,
looking at the Moonlit splendor
gazing out at the darkened ocean,
and released all my fear and doubts to the Universe.

It was a cleansing of the soul,
and a releasing of negative energy
that has stolen my creativity,
and life it self.

I made a promise to myself,
to begin to live again,
and not look back at what was,
to live in the moment, and

to look forward to what will be!

This speaks so much for all the ones who drift along with heartache clouding their judgement. We can never forget but we can accept and move on as this write suggests. Well done Amber.

Amber,

Good reminder to live in the present and not dwell on the past. I was with you walking by the ocean, such a serene place.
