my solid foundation,
my soul mate,
and now I must leave you.

I have had many hours
to think of all the lovely
times we have shared,
all the years together.

You have been so good to me,
I have not wanted for anything,
and never have I strayed;
for my heart belongs only to you.

With my last breath,

that I need you to hear
