The Message

The road was curvy,
unkept from the winter, bumpy
but I continued onward
toward the Lady of Lourdes Shrine.

Something was guiding me,
I knew I was to be there,
a force larger than myself
gave me the strength to continue.

As I rounded the bend,
I saw amazing sunlight,
radiating hope for me,
the parking lot was just ahead.

I sat in my car for a few moments,
meditating and praying,
"Please, give me a sign,
show me the way to some peace and love"

Walking along the pathway,
I felt a sense of serenity,
something I hadn't felt in a while,
too much work, robbing my spirit.

The worship area looked
like a church without a building.
It was rustic,
but very welcoming.

I walked into the "grotto" area
where candles were arranged for lighting
I stood in the middle of this prayer area
thinking about my life.

It's incredible when you finally
shut down all the noise,
the silence is really golden,
so embracing and healing.

Three straight weeks, without a day off,
it was finally getting to me,
I had to come here to wind down,
to reclaim my inner being.

Life throws you many challenges,
you do what you have to do
you make it through those times,
coming out of it, with a sense of accomplishment.

I walked over to the area
where there was a stone imbedded into the wall,
this stone was from the Lourdes in France.
I touched it, and immeditately felt healing vibrations.

Feeling the healing energy of that stone,
while standing beneath the golden sunshine,
was the beginning of an amazing transformation
of mind and body.

It brought tears to my eyes,
and it was then that I heard the message:

"You are loved, you are gifted, you are still a healer, go back to your core existence, be the healer you know that you are, go heal those in pain."
