she slipped from a volume of love poetry
between the pages of my heart
as i held her there in worshipful embrace
her eyes revealed secrets of her soul
and her silent lips pleaded to be kissed
she was a word goddess
exploring the limits of my psyche
with fingers of rhyming lexis
with just the scent of rosewater verses
she called forth the gallant cavalier
with only a touch of her feminine fingers
she wakened the ravenous beast
and freed the hidden breath of fire
she was a star dancer, magic act
singer of sensual psalms to delight
the ears and captivate the heart
she slipped out of a volume of verse
and into the covert caverns of my soul
where she bids me to follow her
beyond warm words and sensual songs
into a paradise only we can share
Wonderfully said and felt, and she slipped from pages into you heart, what a grand start!

P.s. Think I'll rip up my Man/ Women poem, after this and your style - I could never satisfy your desires or a man's with words that may never end. Mine are like piddle on the floor, your lines/soul simply roar.
HOW GLORIOUS!!!! Should be opera, DJ. The traditional Romantics, particularly Keats, I think, would be pleased to have you grace their circle. You give the delicate balance of love a place to dwell. Your romantic being is centuries old and My! Aren't we the lucky ones to come upon each pen you share.

From her words you welcomed her into your imagination and your heart. you didn't stand a chance. She can be anything and everything and most likely is if she has captured you this way. Words can be amazing lariats when cast from the heart.

"Beyond Warm Words" is a beautiful romantic poem. I like the way "she slipped from a volume of love poetry between the pages of my heart". I can identify with the concept because I've read novels that capture my heart in the same way.

When the powers-that-be make the decision to return a selfish party-girl to Earth on three missions of redemption, can romance and mayhem be far behind? One hot and trendy gay nightclub, two bickering angels and three unlikely p
