The purpose of life

is to live, and not to speak

of love, but to give.

I was born to live,

to love and to enjoy life…

then something went wrong…

Life takes over and

in the process interferes

with pleasure and love.

Life teaches us that

the end is contained in the

very beginning.

I know I'm dying,

I just would like to know why

it takes a life time…

Footnote: Apart from the first Haiku in this set of five – which was originally written as a stand alone two line short rhyming verse – the rest was written all at the same time intending to be one coherent whole, with other words, this set of five is intended as one “poem” in the style of Haiku. (just breaking the rules…)

I have "broken the rules" in the same way with some of my haiku poems here at AD as well, Peter. I appreciate your here which provide insight into your philosophical outlook about life. Thank you. Love and peace to you,
