(An Epitaph for me…)

The sun was shining and the air was clear, His time was approaching; he had no fear. About his mood nothing was odd. Knew ‘twas his time; he was ready to die, In his walking shoes he took to the sky, Cradled safely in the hands of God… © P. J. The idea came from the original digital photograph I took of my friend on a walk around a quiet – almost hidden - part of London. The photograph turned out to be technically inferior, badly exposed. I was about to ditch it, when I noticed the lighting effect on the legs. I started “playing” with the photograph in Photoshop and the result started to remind me of “a man in the hands of God”. The verse followed. When I showed the final result to my friend, he said he would like it to be his epitaph; after all it was his photograph… We are still arguing it out... (that’s what old friends are for!) but I am determined to go first and beat him to it…
