Tell Me Why

Tell me why a child must die by a maniacs rapist hand?

Or why another dies in the cross hairs from a sniper’s van?

Tell me why as peace our theme we ready ourselves for war?

And why a wife is beaten down as neighbors observe in horror?

Tell me why love dies so young while hatred has its day?

Or how it is we cling to lies and let truth slip away?

Tell me now, my time is short, for here I cannot stay

Tell me now, why mankind brings such destruction and decay

And if you can’t, then maybe faith is what we all must choose

To turn from man toward God at last repenting our abuse

Tell me why this choice loses out to selfish humanistic views?

Where man defines reality through sound bites in the news

Can you?  Can You Tell Me Why?

The answers lie somewhere in that evil people see their actions as normal behaviour, and the 'normal' people are the evil ones to them. You cannot answer one without birthing another. Nice write.

the pysyche of mankind is controlled by invisible powers... egocentric demonstrations of man's destructive and violent nature are manipulated by the diety of this planet... evil comes in many forms... combating it, we become sane again...

no, i can't, michael...this is so sad, but so true...you really hit the nail on the head with this write...so many people are asking the same questions as you are...i agree with eileen...satan knows he's defeated, but he's gonna try to take as many down with him as he can...he's so stupid, satan is...he knows he's lost the war, but he's gonna keep trying? why doesn't he just give it up already? we'd be a lot better off!! :) this is an EXCELLENT write, one of your best...and i love all your writes! Excellent questions, but I think you know the answer, it's the ruler of this earth that seeks the destruction of souls, and you know who that is! the fact that most people don't believe in him is what makes him so powerful, but then they really don't believe in God either, or they'd know the answer to your questions.
