This was inspired by my friend Joe Quinn's photo

Poem Artwork

See-through
swollen silence-

I let in the air
and crumple
at the edges,

curl into myself,
my paper armor.

But paper folds
and paper tears-

split, yet not seperate,
clinging to notions romantic-

Paste me back together.

It's small
but at the core
and deep
so red
it soars

and press too hard
it fails,

closes in on itself,
exhales-

but this is what I'd give you-

but this is what I hide-

Beating....lonely....grey....

Just moving or alive
I wait to breathe
the color of love

I await the stillness of the sun

Still tumbling through
what we've become.

Thanks seems so inadequate for this gift of poetic elegance. This is an excellent transfusion of your emotions through to the tip of your pen. JMW
