Poem Artwork

Waltzing towards the precipice without a single care

leaning on lost reason to end this piece of pure despair

mumbling of such beauty that reminds us of ourselves

lest we share with others the place where spirit delves

closed eyed seconds bow low to dreams upon pale wings

remnants there of fancy things still wearing golden rings

snuggled into worn blankets velvet warming to the bone

wrapped inside the places we spent in our fantasies alone

flowing to the smoother beat of a different drummer’s drum

dipping at the higher points where the music starts to run

close dancing we can reach those heights we always knew

these are the places that I can only be the me I am with you

certainly fair winds shall blow upon blazing copper beaches

where voices honor vibrant Gods and what wisdom teaches

full blown are the long stretches of you laid deep within me

pleasant traveling then done upon the passionate face I see

bear with me as I bear with ivy tangles and its greener leaves

rocky coves and noses froze and cold air that really breathes

hidden there our dance goes on even through highest waves

when love tumbles from sun to sea, its admirers it saves

a beautiful love poem Michelle - with creative lines to kill for, "snuggled into worn blankets velvet warming to the bone" -- this is my favorite to date of all of your beautiful work -- "follow the road of golden rewards on the chariot of peace and love(jmw)" -- JMW

Thank Michelle, I feel the power of this poem. There is an inkling of mystery here just beneath the surface. Sultry, romantic and appealing.
