Poem Artwork

eyes diamond and amber, too precious, I know

locked together, denying passion, desperate to show

electric pulse on my face, array of colors you've ignited

within golden wings, I sleep where you've decided

distant mouths in the ether, meant more when kissing

those meant to be close, that someone you're missing

saying glorious pink words, that appear without speaking

desire imbedded,  we share this art we've been seeking

few tall ladders up, climbing to some other cloud

in our once secret place, where we've not been allowed

or let onto night moons, ones our bodies require

waiting with angels, while impossibilities transpire

my stem hands all twisted, tangled, searching for you

dark eyes, constant looking, though north birds all flew

cracking hands, pleading self, looking for answers to whys

do thousands of my tears fall, in blue hearts from my eyes

beholding you, overpowering me, as I watch you depart

wringing sobs from the handkerchiefs in the wet of my heart

taking breath after breath away, but you've returned a pure bliss

when beholding our sweet friendship, that's still hung on a kiss

"...distant mouths in the ether,/meant more when kissing/those meant to be close...." Interesting...I suspect that your interpretation is based on personal experience and/or desire. Anyway, if only as a catharsis, keep writing! You have a lot of potential and I wish I could fast-forward a few years to see how your poetry matures.

your words are definetly the voice of love, this beautiful essence when captured releasing us into beauty...then also knowing "beholding you, overpowering me, as I watch you depart

wringing sobs from the handkerchiefs in the wet of my heart

taking breath after breath away, but you've returned a pure bliss

when beholding our sweet friendship, that's still hung on a kiss"

your poetry is beautiful Michelle!

You've pulled off another hit. It doesn't have that hard edged, modern, in your face femininity so prevelant now. No, you've taped into something eternal in a woman's soul.
