The sun rises today to reveal a sign
A sign of His love for us
its rays sweetens any bitterness
by touching and warming hearts
But there is sadness in the air as we say goodbye to another fallen comrade
happiness it should be is the most important lesson and there are other lessons of living and loving,
to give one's life for the sake of others,
a life given unselfishly is not an easy task
concern for others in a moment where an entire lifetime is simply a blade in the wind
Across the road I stand, in a line of uniforms that wait to say goodbye to one of our own
Like trees we stand---tall and proud standing in vigil, silence and respect
In heaven earned we will rejoice again
No sorrow or hate or retribution
but smiles greet,
close fellowship and teaming
Never to forget to let love be our greatest aim amidst the horror of pain
What matters most in life is loving now and hearing
