Picture: Dubai...The old meets the new--- age old camel racing in the shadow of the world’s tallest building.

“...Nobody gets to live life backward. Look ahead-that's where your future lies...”

---Ann Landers---

Poem Artwork

I’m thinking how to’s...Hmm...

 Thoughts and things and such

Resolutions...

No to muse

So here I go with my intentionals

From the confessional

 Of my intents and actions

I resolve to be healthy

Observing the food pyramid you see

Exercising, running, walking, at least sweaty

Oh yes I’ll run an occasional marathon with glee

And carry my golf clubs without a caddy

I am younger every year you see

Faster, agile, mobile,...candidly

I also resolve to be wealthy

 Despite the economic downturn

401K, REIT, IRA,...IRS---death and taxes permanently

My bank account I continue to yearn

As I strive for other ways to earn

Incredibly so, the best and worst of times

leaves little time to learn

Oh I think I can or should have

It’s not too late to change before I get burned

Pocket book, wallet, bank account unspared

In times where no stone is unturned

 Baby boomers gone bust

As everyone’s feeling we’ve hit the dust

I further resolve to be wiser

Prudent, managed, instilled, a knowledge powerhouse

of books, people, places, things, science, optimizers

Oh, I’ll write more, better, faster, read more and be more creations

Yet humble to realize I am human after all...

complete with faults, failings, imperfections, and procrastinations

Finally

I resolve to resolve

And not let the ease, comfort, convenience

of daily living

 To hinder my renewed resolutions

Those precious droplets of gold

 Hard as nails,

yet frail

 as glass...

We move on now to brand new set of 365

And a mindset that will stay

Enduring but flexible as a rubber band

 bending and not breaking

The cause for célèbre is you

 to seize the day too!

My dear writer and reader friend---

 Hopefully, if its to be

It’s up to me

Now, tell me, what’s new---with you?
