She nodded off between the beginning and end,
he scooped her up with sheer delicacy,
arms firm, gently enveloping her,
her bosom pressed against his chest

Beneath watchful clouds he carried her,
each step coincided with the beat of her heart,
where sunflowers turned to follow their path,
which led to rushing waters falling from sky

In spray of mist, that danced on lips,
he laid her tender on ivy of jade,
eyes pure blue welded with blackened pools,
breathlessly lost in love, with no way back

The song of birds echoed from mountain tops,
as they kissed seemingly ever of forever,
till she a' woke, with book 'neath her head,
pushed it aside, as it already ended perfectly
