Build
Petite notes scattered in sky,
enormous in strength and heart,
building bridges to mountain tops,
descending, on the most high
Voice echoed, angelic in song,
telling of the cold wind that blew,
crumbling structure beneath her feet,
falling in tears, seemed so wrong
This was not in her blueprint plan,
foundation was built with care,
should be everlasting and beyond,
from ground to the heavens it ran
Weeping willow reminded her,
new growth will come in spring,
friends will withstand all seasons,
roots run deep, in reflection of mirror
A smile warmed her fragile face,
she stood with flowers knee high,
willing to battle the fall’s of life,
and build again, with pearls and lace
Nice, soft rhythm in this poem, Christine.
