Reach, reach to me through these dreams and touch my eyes with tender fingers I long to feel again. Restore my sight.
Help me to see some glimmer of hope that might sustain me just a little while until I can reach beyond this suffocating fog to find this little light of mine misplaced somewhere outside myself.
All I recall is a light in your eyes removed from my presence, taken from my life without warning or explanation.
It has been so dark, so cold without you.

Some dreams have the annoying habit of seeming to be so lifelike that it's a real shock when you wake up... and some are much nicer, where you know they're dreams... yet you play along anyway... I've felt similar to this poem... and now I think you've have inspired me to write something... hmm... thanks! :)
